Your Tasks

As a confectioner (m/f/d), you will have the opportunity to give creativity free rein within an international team as well as practise a traditional craft. With manual dexterity, a little technical understanding and knowledge of the ingredients used, you will learn to turn your own ideas and trends into reality.

  • Raw material and food science
  • Production of confectionery baked goods, desserts and snacks
  • Designing gateaux, cakes and baked goods
  • Preparing ice cream
  • Operating and maintaining equipment, machines and systems

Vocational College: Block teaching in Kronach in the first year, from second year on, block teaching in Bamberg

Duration: 3 years (2,5 years with relevant educational background)

The training takes place in the modern confectionery bakeries of the IREKS Baking Academy and partly at partner companies in the confectionery trade.

After successfully completing your training, you will have the opportunity to attend internal further training and external courses as well as to contribute to and develop your skills in the baking centres of the IREKS Group.

Your Profile

  • Certificate of Secondary Education or higher
  • Pleasure in working with foodstuffs
  • Creative skills and technical manual dexterity
  • Fun and talent for designing, garnishing and decorating  
  • Creativity, diligence and conscientiousness
